Director Surender Reddy is regarded as one of the most stylish filmmakers of Tollywood. Despite the high regards, Surender Reddy somehow failed to make a strong impact. He had head turned towards him with Atanokkade and immediately got chance to direct big stars like NTR and Mahesh. Ashok and Athidi didn't live up to expectations and Surender was left in doldrums.
With Kick he has proved that he can do entertainers as good as action films and he got a call from NTR soon after that. He tried to present NTR in a different way in Oosaravelli and that didn't turn out as desired. Oosaravelli's mediocre performance at the box office raised questions over Surender's caliber of handling big commercial stars.
Surender was left jobless after that and finally he bagged a mega film. Allu Arjun has immense belief in Surender's capabilities and agreed to do a film under his direction. This film will be launched in November. Nallamalupu Bujji and Dr. Venkateswara Rao will produce it. Thaman is roped in as the music director. This is Thaman's first film with dancing star Allu Arjun.
